Blue eyes

Beautiful eyes always fascinated him. As a kid, one of his deepest desire was to marry a blue eyed Russian girl and have blue eyed kids. He dreamt of Russian girl because during his childhood he always got a copy of the magazine "Soviet Union". The communist era magazine which found a good place in the shelves of all small time libraries in his small town. He never bothered his dad's argument that soviet union (USSR) is trying to influence youth using those magazines. His passion was blue eyed women in those magaines. Most of the magazines were in back and white, but in his imaginations..all women had blue eyes...He must have become a socialist due to the influence of articles in those magazines. But he could never influence any women, forget a blue eyed woman. He used pages of Soviet Union magazine to cover his note books. The fresh smell (scent) and the glossy paper always gave his books a classy look. His books were admired by kids around him especially the blue eyes women on the cover which he carefully chose to have on the front side of book.

The ladies protrayed in the beautiful paintings of famous painters in his country had women with absolute black eyes but he was never fascinated...

He always wondered why he didnt have a blue eye. He bought blue color glasses and looked through them and found it amazing to view the world. He wondered how people with differnt eye color see the world...As a child he never had answers to those questions

He grew past the local school and went to a urban college campus and found that beauty is not just in blue eye. He found a light brown eyed girl sitting across him in the class. Whenever he looked at her, she offered him a quick smile and he saw twinkle in her eyes. Brown eyes became his passion. He kept looking for brown eyes. He realized that he had feelings towards her..After a year of waiting and multiple rehearsals at home, he walked towards her and said in a very low voice .."I love you". She turned around and gazed at him. He dont remember whether she said "freak" but he was sure that she didnt like what he said..She never smiled at him again..Exams wisked by and  brown eyes turned into a horrible devil's eye in his dreams. He couldnt sleep..! He learned to forget brown eyes.....

He had opinion about every color of eye in the world. He spend hours and hours trying to find co-relation between color of eye and human behavior. The futile efforts stopped when he met his best friend and soul mate from his office. She had absolute black eyes. He had brown eyed children, He always wondered why his children had brown eyes. He cursed the god for giving them brown eyes...

Corporate lessons taught him to look into the eyes whenever he talks to someone. Everytime he spoke to someone, he started looking at the color of eyes. People often told him not to stare...

On a rainy day, he walked past the busy roads carrying an umbrella swaying in winds & trying to save his suit from getting wet. He was good citizen so he waited near zebra crossing. While he was walking across the road, he saw a beautiful tall lady with blue eyes walking in the opposite direction. For a moment, he thought he was in Russia, He saw tall buildings around him. He saw sign boards in Russian language. The blue eyed lady was similing at him. He could hear his heart beating... The shrieking sound of a car horn next to him and the driving screaming at him in some unknown language just grabbed him out of the soviet union era....He couldnt hide his embarssment, he was standing in the centre of the road turned in the opposite direction and the signal had already turned green....

He quickly started walking to the opposite side trying to avoid getting hit by vehicles. He looked for the last time again to the other side of the road checking whether the blue eyed lady is still around....he saw her..blue eyes....smiling and walking and talking to her daughter ..before he could look again...she dissappeared into the smaller lanes....He had a smile on his face.....Yet another day to office!

Unfinished Desires

Sam wanted to meet his girlfriend. He walked towards the bus stop. He saw his brother driving away in his car without stopping for him. He anyways preferred to travel by bus. He got into the bus. The bus was not crowded, he sat on a seat and looked around. Nobody asked him to buy a ticket or even bothered to look at him. He was alone in his seat.... The window was open, he looked outside and enjoyed the beauty of nature. He quietly went to sleep.

when he opened the eyes, the bus was still moving at a very high speed, he looked around for few minutes and then realized that next stop is near his girlfriend's home. He quickly walked to the door and stepped out when the bus stopped. He realized that he did not pay for the travel, he turned back and asked the driver to stop the bus. It seems the driver was not bothered, the bus moved away...

He walked past the paddy fields and reached his girlfriend's house. It was quiet there..the door was closed. They had gone out..He realized that he is not carrying a cell phone. He cursed himself for not checking with her before going to her place. Something that he noticed is that he could reach places very fast. He was drifiting from bus stop to his girlfriend's house. He thought that could be because of the dizzines from yesterday's drinks at party.

He thought of going back to his home, he was back at his home quickly. He found his mom lying down on her bed and there were lot of relatives in the house. Soon he realized that he is an invisible man and there comes the ambulance with a morgue. Sam lies peacefully in the morgue....
